The name of his 70s band could be taken many ways, but upon his passing I realized one more way it could be interpreted. 
He will be very missed. His whole career was brilliant, but particularly meaningful to me were his playing in the the late 60s and early 70s with his 60s piano trios, the group Circle and the first Return to Forever album. All of those records remain all-time favorites.

Last time I've seen him playing live twelve yrs ago and he still was really great
