On Sunday, Oct. 9, the All Nite Soul Festival will take place from 7 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. at Saint Peter’s Church in New York, featuring performances by Arturo O’Farrill and the Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra, Rudy Royston with John Ellis, Hank Roberts, Gary Versace and Lindo Oh, as well as Billy Hart and Fabian Almazan, among others. The All Nite Soul Festival, the longest-running jazz festival in New York City, was first held in 1970 to commemorate the fifth anniversary of Jazz Vespers at Saint Peter’s Church, which is partnering with WE ACT for Environmental Justice to “call attention to environmental issues impacting [the] quality of life in Harlem,” according to a press release.
