"bar/restaurants" ~bootleg jazz recordings

There's something romantic about jazz recordings at bars/restaurants...

There are tableware sounds, people laugh, talk, cough every now and then, it seems so embracing I feel it gives music much more depth.

I remember hearing some recordings from Bill Evans, great environment. Any recommendations from your favorite artists?

If anyone can recall a particular recording from Bill Evans himself, I'll be glad to hear. I'm lost between the myriad albums available.

I have many recordings like that, but remembering which ones may not happen right away. Wink

One I listened to recently is Cecil taylor's "Nefertitti ... ", there are people trying to talk at first, but Taylor's music is a little too intense for that.

I have a couple live albums by Bud Powell where there is some talking, depending on the night, sometimes he gets fairly loud also.

I probably have some Bill Evans albums you described, just trying to remember which ones.

Here's a good one, Chet baker "Witch Doctor" with an outdoor crowd on the west coast at the famous Lighthouse.
