Bill Frisell to Wrap Up JALC “Roots” Series May 29-30
Show will focus on music of the Mississippi River region

Guitarist Bill Frisell will perform his sixth and final show in
Jazz at Lincoln Center’s two-year “Roots of Americana” series on May
29-30. Frisell will lead a quintet featuring saxophonist Greg Osby,
cornetist Ron Miles, pianist Craig Taborn and drummer Kenny Wollesen in
“Up & Down the Mississippi: Traveling Highway 61.” The concerts take
place at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. in the Appel Room at Jazz at Lincoln
Center’s Frederick P. Rose Hall, Broadway at 60th Street, in New York.

Frisell will examine music that originated along the length of the
Mississippi River, from Minnesota to Louisiana, focusing on blues and
other genres associated with the region.
Single tickets for Bill Frisell’s Roots of Americana series in The Appel Room start at $45. Tickets can be purchased through Jazz.org or at the Jazz at Lincoln Center Box Office, or by calling CenterCharge at 212-721-6500, open daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
