Bands I was in shared the bill with them several times, they were good bands, but didn't stay long enough to get known. This was all part of the San Francisco "acid jazz" scene in the mid-90s (as documented by allmusic in their jazz history book). Acid jazz in San Francisco was not about house music and dancing, but was more about jazz musicians jamming on hip-hop beats with a 70s psychedelic fusion influence. Broun Fellinis, Charlie Hunter, Michael Franti and many others I can't think of now came up through that scene. Last time I was visiting San Francisco, I saw the Fellinis live at a small club.
