I'd like to add yet another Brazilian artist to JMA: "Cheiro de Vida" is a fusion band from Brazil's southernmost state of Rio Grande do Sul was formed by André Gomes (bass, sitar), Carlos Martau (guitar, krika) and Alexandre Fonseca (drums, percussion). They have so far released only two albums: "Cheiro de Vida" (1984) and "Vivo" (1988), the former recorded in studio, the latter recorded live.

The most proeminent feature of the band is, by far, André Gomes's bass playing prowess, inspired by Stanley Clark (to whom they dedicated a song). The other members, though somewhat ofuscated by Mr. Gomes, are also excellent musicians and have their moments to shine as well.

Albums:
-"Cheiro de Vida" (1984):
1. Fechado Para Balanço
2. Asas Longas
3. Entre Estrelas
4. Tema do Bonder
5. Crepúsculo
6. Hieronymus Bosch
7. Aí, Stanley!
8. Ayisha
9. Nosferatu
10. O Bom Pastor

Line-up:
-André Gomes/ bass guitar, fretless bass, sitar and piccolo bass
-Carlos Martau/ electric guitar, nylon and steel acoustic guitars, 12-string viola, mandolin, Krica and Fuke
-Alexandre Fonseca/ drums and percussion
-Paulo Supekóvia/ electric guitar, nylon and steel acoustic guitars and 12-string viola
Special Guests:
-Pedro Tagliani/ electric guitar on "Crepúsculo"
-Augusto Licks/ viola and Roland GR-300 on "Hieronymus Bosch"
Recording and mixing technician:
-Renato Alscher

-"Vivo" (1988):
1. África
2. Levada
3. Vox Populi
4. Jazz
5. Blue
6. Beep Bop
7. Vinheta
8. Dark Funk
9. Intro
10. Funk Indiano
11. Rush
12. Guerra
13. Jazzmania [Bonus Track]

Line-up:
-André Gomes/ bass guitar
-Carlos Martau/ guitar and krica
-Alexandre Fonseca/ drums

If you'll excuse me, but the line-up of "Cheiro de Vida" (1984), is incomplete. The official website does not mention who plays which instruments, but can't with settle with other (even if less trustworthy) sources?
