Christian Scott: The most OVERRATED jazz musician

I would say it's a question of taste. I saw him playing live and what  I noticed for sure he's a strong band's leader (possibly even a bit dictator what isn't a;ways a wrong thing), he's a good showman too. Musically for me his music is too simple, too accessible and I'm not sure I really like his straight and aggressive social element in music/show - he sounds as we're in 50's America and he's kind of Afro-centrist "angry man". Than again, I'm living in Europe so I far from feeling in details all modern American life nuances.

But - on other side I don't think he's technically fantastic, I think his popularity is based on very different reasons than technical excellence.
