A high energy aggressive mix of fusion, post bop and free jazz from Ryan Porter, who is backed by an all-star group of LA musicians including Kamasi Washington. This record was recorded a few years earlier and almost never came out, but Kamasi's recent rise to fame was an encouragement. There is a surprise inclusion of the song, "Deja Vu", which was once a staple of the early days of smooth jazz.

A somewhat more relaxed and almost melodic set from what we normally expect from Matthew Shipp. Those who may have found his previous work too intense may want to give him a second chance with this one. As usual, absolutely brilliant playing form one of today's best.

In his own words, Tim Daisy and his ensemble "mix intricate orchestration with spirited improvisation".

Simply amazing compilation pulled from many sources that features various Sun Ra configurations performing the music of George Gershwin. The music varies from creative doo-wop versions of Gershwin pop songs to a full arkestra avant-garde version of "Rhapsody in Blue". Some tracks are poorly recorded, but every track is a gem.
