I'd like to know, if his live album in Greenwich Village, has any relation to the complete Greenwich Village album from 1998.
Doesn't the original contain all the tracks that were played in this live concert ? |

There are two original Ayler albums, containing recordings from his two concerts at the Village Vanguard (one - from 18 December 1966 and the other - from 26 February 1967). First album, containing some material from both concerts has been released in 1967 as "In Greenwich Village"(Impulse! A 9155). Other album, containing rest of the material from both concerts, has been released in 1978 as "The Village Concerts" (double LP Impulse! IA 9336).
"The Complete Impulse Recordings" from 1998 is a compilation containing material from both above original releases, plus few bonuses
