Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, Dee Dee Bridgewater and Common are among the big-name artists set to perform at the 60th annual Monterey Jazz Festival.
The lineup, which was announced Thursday, also features Regina Carter, Branford Marsalis, Joshua Redman, the Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra, Leslie Odom, Jr., Angélique Kidjo, Kenny Barron Trio, Chris Thile, Brad Mehldau, Jimmy Heath, Joe Lovano and many other notable acts. There are also centennial celebrations planned for Thelonious Monk, Ella Fitzgerald and Dizzy Gillespie, as well as tributes to Celia Cruz and Sonny Rollins. In all, the festival is expected to host over 110 performances during its run, Sept. 15-17, at the Monterey County Fair and Event Center. Daily schedules are listed below.
