New Carla Bley Album to Be Released

“Andando el Tiempo” features Andy Sheppard and Steve Swallow

ECM Records has announced the forthcoming release of Carla Bley’s Andando el Tiempo. The album, which the label says will be released in time for Bley’s 80th birthday on may 11, features the pianist with her regular trio of the past 20-plus years, bassist Steve Swallow and saxophonist Andy Sheppard. Andando el Tiempowas recorded at Lugano’s RSI Studio and produced by Manfred Eicher.
