Dear Friends in Music,

The new album of the seminal Chicago based band MARBIN is out now (marketed and distributed by MoonJune Music). Two among my favorite 'moonjunistas" are unstoppable!

This album is available via MoonJune's BandCamp page in CD format (digipack) and HD Downlaod (WAV, FLAC, MP3-320).

Capturing the intense energy of their live show with the pristine sound of a studio recording, Aggressive Hippies, Marbin's fifth album, which includes eight new compositions (and one improvised extended intro track) that feature Danny Markovitch (sax) and Dani Rabin (guitar) at their best, is the most engaging album of Marbin's albums to date. With the help of Greg Essig (drums) and John W. Lauler (bass), Marbin sounds as tight as only a band that plays out every night can sound.

Marbin has a unique story that stands out in today's music world. With a do-it-yourself approach, Marbin started touring in 2011 and has played over a thousand shows since, bringing their original instrumental music everywhere in the states that they could book a show. After well over a thousand shows and over 15,000 album sold, Marbin has gained thousands of fans all over the US. Marbin has released four albums with Moonjune Records: Marbin (2009), Breaking the Cycle (2011) , Last Chapter of Dreaming (2013) and The Third Set (2014). Marbin's fifth album Aggressive Hippies will be self-reelased by the band, and will be marketed and distributed by MoonJune Music.

In addition to their regular schedule, Marbin has toured with Scott Henderson's trio, which included Mike Clark and Jeff Berlin, and Allan Holdsworth’s trio with bassist Jimmy Haslip (Yellowjacketts, Jeff Lorber, Robben Ford) and drummer Virgil Donati (Planet X, Steve Vai). Marbin has also recorded and performed with drummer Paul Wertico (Pat Metheny Group), bassist Steve Rodby (Pat Metheny Group), percussionist Jamey Haddad (Paul Simon), Wayne Krantz), and more. Danny markovitch guested on the upcomiong album of the Indoensian guitar icon Dewa Budjana featuring Tony Levin, Gary Husband, Jack DeJohnette, Guthrie Gowan, Tim Garland.

Marbin's self-titled debut duo album from 2009 is now also available via MoonJune's BandCamp:
