Well, it feels appropriate.

Due to the 25 entries I had to get judicious with some of the options. Apologies if you favorite didn't make the cut.

Simple, which is your favorite? Any discussion about the man is welcomed. Smile
Hit it on Five.

Saxophone Scatterbrain Blitzberg

The album early as the work which he announced will be still popular.
However, the music that built new trio wonderfully even if even Don Cherry and Charlie Haden disappeared would give different charm to a listener.
Therefore, I went to "At The Golden Circle".

I like all the early ones, plus 'Free Jazz', 'Skies of America', 'Science Fiction', 'Tone Dialing' and 'Virgin Beauty'.
I picked 'Free Jazz', but of his later work, 'Tone Dialing' stands out.

Hard to go against the choices made...but I will!

My favorite is Ornette!. Ironically (or fittingly) I find it to be the best sounding of those early 60s discs and musically muscular as anything hes done.

Of the 'electric' era I like Of Human Feelings the best.
Hit it on Five.

Of Human Feelings is great, but Body Meta just pips it for me. A great artist who has left an amazing recorded legacy.

"Something Else!!!!" is really early and relatively traditional sounding compared to his later work but 'The Blessing' (track 2) is so great. Don Cherry and Ornette have a special sort of togetherness on this one
