Scored pretty big at a local thrift store yesterday;
On LP,
Bob James 1,2 and 3; all in excellent condition
Very hard to find Bobby Byrd in playable condition
On CD
Greyboy All-Stars
Ramsey Lewis
Jeff Hamilton

I got all this for about $16, on ebay it would have been at least $60, probably much more.

These are splendid. Early Bob James is good. Ramsey Lewis is good, too. Sun Goddess is in particular my favorite. And I have the compilation album of JBs, but the song of Bobby Byrd and Vicki Anderson is cool.

Small Talk At 125th and Lenox (180 Gram Vinyl Reissue)Free Will [Vinyl]Winter in America [Vinyl]Secrets

I have a thing for Gil at the moment.

Good ThingsI Futuribili

been meaning to get the Aloe Blacc for ages.

Audra Mae & The Almighty SoundNot as good as her debut. Gone a fair bit rockier and the alt Country seems to be put the back area a little.

Release Me

Good, but Lyle is always good.

He did a double album of Texan songs ( years back now) simply superb

Step Inside This House

I have owned it for years...just a recommendation if anyone is keen on Lyle. Why not...great song writer and musician. Does it his way.

The recording is remarkably high quality, the video quality is very good (although there are a lot of strobe lights), the performance is excellent. I basically grinned like a stupid idiot for the entire duration.

It's also worth noting that it isn't them just playing Blackjazz live, the tour actually had something to do with the development of their sound, so you get some tracks from the previous 2 albums as well.

I recommend it if you like the band, for sure.
