Paco de Lucia, the renowned flamenco guitarist who passed away Feb. 25, won the Latin Grammys’ Album of the Year award last night for his Canción Andaluza. Other wonners included Marc Anthony’s 3.0 for Best Salsa Album, Jorge Drexler’s Bailar En La Cueva for Best Singer-Songwriter Album, Arturo O'Farrill and the Chico O'Farrill Afro-Cuban Jazz Orchestra’s Final Night at Birdland for Best Instrumental Album, Rubén Blades’ Tangos for Best Tango Alum, de Lucia again for Best Flamenco Album and Chick Corea’s The Vigil and Paquito D'Rivera & Trio Corrente's Song for Maura tied for Best Latin Jazz Album.
