just returned back from fantastic opera - "Madame Butterfly" (co-production of Metropolitan Opera in New York, Royal Opera in London and Lithuanian National Opera)

Enjoy what you have, this sort of event does not happen often in the states, maybe a bit on either coast, but not at all around here.
There are some clubs around here where you can still here authentic blues and RnB, but not much jazz.

During the summer in France there are a lot of small festivals of all styles.
I discover this one less than two hours away from home during my holidays.
 Outdoor concerts at the foot of a 12th century gothic limestone church. Swallows above us at the early evening. Then moonlight at the nightfall. Perfect atmosphere and decor !
