"Danny Boy" is the sore thumb in many a jazz record, not sure why though.

Horses for courses, John. It's like Peter Paul and Mary doing The Beatles "Revolution" . keep "Danny Boy" for the Folk.

Yes, Slava he is. Also a member of Einsturzende Neubauten ( German Avante Industrial). He released an album with Teho Teardo last year "Still Smiling". It was my favourite album last year. Played it heaps. Most original thing I heard actually. "Mimikry" above is good as well but not as much or accessible as "Still Smiling". It takes a few listens to really get in to. Smile

Acoustic guitar album by a Facebook friend of mine. I first heard and met Sergio through Lucas' Prog radio program on ISKC Rock Radio. I still like to hear what is new and Lucas does provide plenty of that. Sergio's music I love to hear when I first get up in the morning as he often puts up tracks on FB and he has a gentle, slight Bluesy approach with plenty of space between chords and I find it a nice lovely quiet way to start or end my day. Mainly solo acoustic with  some vocals , Bouzouki and Bandeneon ( track, "Non Ti Crucciar" has that Italian Influence with Bandeneon), one a piece. He is  is a wonderful guitarist. Wouldn't have bought it if he wasn't

Saint Malo

I love this album. First time I heard it I played bits at a cd store. Did not buy and instead I think bought a Christian McBride album instead. No offence to Christian but Henry's music must of hit the sub conscience or something because I regretted it the same night for not taking a shot at the album. Had to wait a few weeks to get it as the shop sold their only copy when I went back..................

Wheres Your Cup?

There are lots of albums I should have bought when I had the chance, a lot of times you don't get a second chance.

African music was the worst for me, John. The shop would get one or two albums of the artist and they would go quickly and when they placed another order with Sterns, yep, out of stock. Usually Al at the shop would only place an order every three months due more to the exchange rate as it was killer with English pounds back then.

Agustus Pablo is the best, but those plants in the background look a bit thin.
