mozaicfestival.com · fb.com/MozaicJazzSibiu

about 16 Euro a ticket, about 40Euros a pass for all evnts

I think the problem with a lot of the fusion music is that it's extremely predictable, it's a rock rhythm and the solos all play the same stuff and they play it over and over again ...

Totally blown out by the performance of Trilok Gurtu, so much energy, sounds so much better than his studio recordings of which I have to recognize I'm not such a great fan.Best jazz concert I attended until now.

Electrifying performance of David Krakauer who conquered the audience with his vibrant klezmer jazz rhytms.

Didn't enjoy so much Steve Coleman.Although I appreciate the profesionalism, he's not exactly my cup of tea.

A great surprise(he's a german ethnic in a very nationalist country, even the church tried to mingle in th election recommending to vote for a christian orthodox candidate), he lost the 1st tour by 10% and none of the polls predicted hs victory. It looks more that the other guy(the Prime Minister whose party is associated mostly with the comunists) lost. Sociologists and analysts stiill try to figure it out, looks lke Facebook and the social networks made the difference.
No I didn't see him at the festival, haven't seen politicians at jazz concerts.Usually they go to soccer matches and a minority to classical concerts/opera. Not much votes to gather at jazz concerts LOL

Very good performance by Tord Gustavsen  Ensemble, although I prefer his trio work

yep, I heard some short story in news, hope this surprise is for good Smile Not so familiar with politic situation in Eastern Balkans (differently from Western), but common situation in Europe, especially this part is too much as in 1939 Confused so political news are hot again

here politics, especially expecting support from middle class, liberals, students, intellectuals, artistic elite are regular on serious jazz concerts, some of them are real jazz fans though LOL
