I was so impressed with the Tigran Hamasyan video of Just Friends that I rushed out like a mad impetuous mammal and bought 'A Fable' - First impressions are extremely favourable - sorta Monk in leather pants plays Bartok fuelled by half a gallon of industrial strength caffeine. (It's not particularly jazzy but I guess its inspiration is principally the folk music of Armenia) Hope to submit a review of this critter soon.

^ It's great to know you like his musicBig smile. There are all list of less known Central/Eastern European,Caucasian and Central Asian interesting artists who deserved more attention. Speaking about Armenian folklore, this music is very high energy, emotive and rhythmic (in part influenced by Eastern tradition -Iranian and Turkish).

"Fuse One" was a session project to which Creed Taylor was related. It only announced two albums. However, it would have been a project in which the musician that this is good gathered as one of the histories of Pop Jazz/Crossover if it thought from the viewpoint besides CTI All Stars.

Michel Petrucciani might have announced a good performance while indeed surmounting a stumbling block. Performance influenced from Bill Evans. Or, the performance often compared with Keith Jarrett was important for the jazz scene in France.

Enrico Rava is a trumpeter from Italy. He has been influenced from Miles Davis and Chet Baker.

The work and the music character are busy. However, the album in ECM might especially have good expression of feelings.

I can't believe we missed him. I noticed we had missed Kenny Burrell today  Confused Big smile Getting there though. We will catch them because everybody picks up on one when we are either doing reviews or just looking around. Enrico Rava and Tomas Stanko are great trumpet players.

It is said that David Hines has been influenced from fusion in the 70's. The lesson received to Stanley Clarke might evolved his technology. It is bass player who announces a good talent in the item of fusion.

Rodney Franklin is a pianist from the United States. The element of Soul/R&B also often took his music character. However, the first album of him is especially high-quality.
