Yes. I have the album of Charnett Moffett trio. The drum player of the album is Cindy Blackman. It is not bad.

I think the problem with a lot of the fusion music is that it's extremely predictable, it's a rock rhythm and the solos all play the same stuff and they play it over and over again ...

The OneUps are a band that cover Video Game Music in a jazz style. I think they are mostly cool jazz (no expert though) but their must recent album is pretty explicitly funk. That's what this is from;
