^ Woah, I could have sworn I read violin over at PA hahaha Embarrassed  At least both start with a 'V'

I really like how you build the song up too, and the way the vocals start so far beneath the other instruments before coming to the forefront. Where did you guys record it? The guitar tone is ace too

Yeah you must have misread Violet's name :). It was recorded in a big music class room at the university in Nijmegen (Holland) where I study music therapy. This arrangement was made for the musical presentation for my graduation (coming next tuesday) and is part of a 40 minute show in which I show my musical diversity and personal growth. The vocals turned out fine, but to be honest - we forgot to place a microphone at the piano for Violet's vocals. The guitar sound was made by a cheap telecaster and two amps (an orange bass-amp and a normal fender guitar amp) splitted by a Hadwire reverb pedal.

Yes. They are Japanese bands called "Mountain Mocha Kilimanjaro". There is other video clip, too.

Yeah, go ahead and add all of that. They can go in Funk Jazz. I was just listening to their album on Amazon, definite Meters influence.

Thank you. I work on it. They would surely come under an influence of Meters.

The jazz scene in recent Japan seems to show a lot of female musicians somehow or other.

International Jazz Day Global Concert

music starts at minute 36:50

I think the problem with a lot of the fusion music is that it's extremely predictable, it's a rock rhythm and the solos all play the same stuff and they play it over and over again ...
