On October 18, Craft and Jazz Dispensary will reissue Goldenwings, the 1976 fusion album by Uruguayan trio Opa, as part of its Top Shelf series. Originally released on Milestone, the album includes “Tombo,” “Corre Niña” and the title track. The latter would become a significant favorite amongst jazz-funk DJs and aficionados on the international acid-jazz scene of the 1990s. Returning to vinyl for the first time in 50 years, Goldenwings showcases an exciting blend of Latin rhythms, synthesizers and lush vocal harmonies.
