UK saxophonist and composer Nubya Garcia has shared plans for new album ‘Odyssey’.

A wonderful instrumentalist and a noted collaborator, Nubya Garcia’s abilities as a bandleader have placed her at the forefront of UK jazz. The London artist’s wonderful 2020 album ‘Source’ moved from post-bop improvisation to club tropes via the low-end of Caribbean system culture, blended in her own inimitable way.

Out on September 20th, new album ‘Odyssey’ represents Nubya’s next step. In a note on social media, she writes:

I’m so excited. I’ve been looking forward to this day for a minute, when I get to let you all know when it’s coming

Making this album felt crazy at times, I really pushed myself in so many ways, and that can often in the middle of it all have you feeling like how am I gonna achieve this vision? But I’m really happy to say, I’m so grateful, this album taught me what it means to elevate in what you do, elevate myself to be better/learn more/try new things ive never done before/ and keep going

I can’t wait to share it with you!
