The third edition of East London’s buzzing new jazz fest packs in a galaxy of next-gen names across three nights and 10 venues

The streets and live spaces dotted around East London’s buzzing Brick Lane will once again come alive to the sounds of a new generation of jazz (and jazz-adjacent) artists when the Brick Lane Jazz Fest returns for its third, and biggest, edition across three days and nights from 26 to 28 April.

Fast gaining a reputation as an event break emerging new talents, a snapshot of the dizzying number of bands appearing include guitarist/singer Oscar Jerome, US trumpet star Theo Croker, neo-soul singer Ego Ella May, New Zealand nu-jazz keys man Mark de Clive-Lowe, free-flowing groove collective Levitation Orchestra, drummer Myele Manzanza, Cinematic Orchestra keyboardist Dominic J Marshall, superb trumpeter/producer MATTERS UNKNOWN, sublime bassist/singer Amy Gadiaga, fusion keys player DoomCannon, jazz-funk keys maestro Greg Foat as well as top established names such as Byron Wallen, Rob Luft and in-demand flute/sax man Chip Wickham.

Further artists on the bill include Secret Night Gang, David Mrakpor, Nok Cultural Ensemble, COLECTIVA, Mackwood, Raquel Martins, Charlie Stacey, Isobella Burnham, Tyrone Isaac-Stuart, Sultan Stevenson and many, many more. The extensive DJ line-up will ensure there’s more or less continuous music at the 10 participating music venues over three days on and around Brick Lane. The festival also partners with Tomorrow’s Warriors as its charity partner.
