Yvan Belleau is a saxophonist/clarinetist/pianist from Quebec. He is an accomplished musician, composer, arranger, conductor and teacher, teaching at my music school. He worked with legends of jazz including Vic Vogel. He also worked with many popular artists. But his breakthrough was when he released his own songs. He released two albums: "Clair et Net (2002)" and "Pas à Pas (2009)".
Why he should be at JMA ? Because there is no one in the quebec jazz scene as hard-working as Yvan Belleau. He is a perfectionist, but at the same time, he works so much for our school and for other artists as well. Here is a photo of him: And here is a link of a video with his quartet performing the song "Avec Toi" on his album "Pas à Pas".: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3zQUTrK-JYw |
