Thanks for this info on Verve. UMe is also behind the BlueNote80 and TonePoet Series reissues the past 2yrs. Very successful so far with a lot of the releases selling out. I have been buying many of them, just got 4 more in the mail yesterday.
Almost all are remastered from the original Rudy Van Gelder master tapes cut and mastered by Kevin Gray, pressed at Optimal Media in Germany. They are all brilliant sounding!!

Verve Label Group/UMe has announced a new monthly vinyl reissue series titled Acoustic Sounds Series,
offering definitive audiophile-grade versions of classic jazz records.
The series launches on July 31 with Stan Getz and Joćo Gilbertos
landmark Getz/Gilberto (1964) and the remarkable Louis Armstrong Meets Oscar Peterson (1959). All titles of the series are mastered from original analog tapes and presented in high-quality packaging.  from www.jazziz.com
