Hey Dudes,
A group that did Disco-funk and a solid kick-ass RnR: Mother's Finest
The first two albums were a bit Southern Rock mixed with some solid jazz-funk (two whites, two blacks and a black singing goddess), but from the third album (Mother Factor) onwards the main direction is definitely funk-disco (with some jazz into it), but with no horns added
I know it's a bit of a stretch for JMA (I'll understand if it's a no from the admins), but less than Henry Cow or King Crimson, ,but maybe for Jazz-related rock or pop-crossover

I'm a big fan of Mother's Finest, excellent band, but not enough jazz for our jazz-related funk section. At least for now.
