For present purposes I am not talking about "strict 12 tone serial structure", although this would certainly be of interest as well :-) I'll look into the link you posted. Incidentally, Could you please refer me to third-stream music featuring the french horn (apart from Gunther Schuller)? Many thanks, Dorit

Our Avant-garde section contains a lot of jazz in which the musicians are playing atonally, here you can find artists, albums and samples:
If you are talking about improvising within a strict 12 tone serial structure, such as music by Schoenberg or Boulez, that is a less common, but does exist. Let me know exactly what you are looking for and I'll see if i can help. - Cheers
